Zermatt is launched as a manufacturer of polyethylene bags for grocery and clothing stores. The first bags made in Fuenlabrada were printed in 2-colours.

70s

We sign with our first clients of industrial consumer products. The market demands superior print quality and the manufacture of more consistent materials for use in automatic packaging machines. Zermatt invests in 8-ink printing lines and 3-layer coextruders.

80s

The packaging development leads us to focus on the research and innovation of new products to set us apart in a very competitive market. Zermatt is ISO 9001 certified. We’ve expanded our production capacity with the creation of a new plant in Illescas.

90s

The growing concern for the environment and competitiveness leads us to search for new combinations of materials to enable us to address the reduced thickness of our bags and flexible packaging. Zermatt is ISO 14000 certified. We’ve taken a another step toward print quality with 10-colour presses.
